Iranian Forces State Strike on US Base in Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.

Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a significant and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the US and Israel.

Airspace Engagements

In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait - which all house American military installations - said they have shot down incoming projectiles in their airspace.

In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry announced it had intercepted a number of projectiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the Middle East.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That preceding assault - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck sites associated with the Iranian leadership, with US President Donald Trump urging the people of Iran to rise up against the government.

Regional Fallout

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military said it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The defence ministry of the UAE said in a statement that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses engaged the missiles with great effectiveness and destroyed a several projectiles," it added.

Officials reported debris landed in a populated district in the capital, causing some property damage and killing a civilian.

The US Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
