A widely shared video shows the Australian man bypassing photographers and charging at Grande while the actors walked down a promenade flanked by supporters. Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the premiere by security officers. Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers indicated that he was set to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused. Pattern of Disruptions This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram profile features clips of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney show in recently and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the area last December. Fans Voice Worry Over the Star's Safety Several fans blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the end of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding hundreds. "After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented another message on Instagram. Several attendees also faulted guards at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while others called for social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's uploads. Response and Event Details In videos spreading on the internet, Grande looked startled when she was touched by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security. Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.
